1.Could you please introduce yourself to us?
I'm Ayşe Yüksel. I've been a member of ASML since 1995, and currently I am the Vice President at the headquarters.

2.Could you give us a brief information about the foundation of the Association of Support for Modern Life?
ASML is founded in 1989 by patriot volunteers who aim to bring our country to the level of modern nations by modern means of education. Ever since its foundation, the association has actualized and is actualizing several projects from preschool to higher education. The successful works of the association enabled it to open branches across the country. Today, there are 99 active branches from east to west, and north to south.

3.How can we volunteer, and how do you communicate your volunteers?
People or institutions who are interested in the ASML, who know and like the works it has been doing can contact us and say we would like to volunteer as per the ASML guidelines. They can go to the nearest ASML Branch, and become a member.
They may work in the already present education projects, or they can generate and work for the education projects they propose once it is approved by the ASML Board of Directors. There are several different work units under the ASML Board of Directors. They may work under whichever they find interesting. The members are always up to date by the assessment meetings, communication seminars, meetings, oral or written sharing.

4.How is the interest to and participation in the association in our country?
Several people or institutions, who are sensitive about education, are endorsing our foundation. But the interest and participation must increase all the time, otherwise we can't have any improvements. We need to proliferate by what we do, and more participation.

5.Are there any new projects that you are planning to actualize?
We are trying to increase the number of female students we are able to sponsor as willed by our previous president Prof. Dr. Turkan Saylan, we want to put more efforts to help students that we sponsor be more successful, start off their careers more efficiently. We are organizing and planning to improve cultural support activities to increase the number of quality youth.

6.Do you have any activities abroad?
We have no activities abroad, but every now and then our presidents may give conferences on behalf of our foundation.

7.Where do your revenues come from, and any subsidies from the government?
Our volunteers and institutions that support us are submitting donations, we have contributions to our existing projects, and we use this support in that project. No subsidies.

8.How can the institutions support you?
They can provide financial support to the many projects of the ASML headquarters and its 99 branches, they can come and work with us individually.

9.Does your foundation follow the technology and benefit from it?
Do you mean all aspects of technology with this question? Of course we utilize technology that is necessary for our foundation.

10.Do you have a message for our readers?
According to the Turkish Population Health Research 2008, the ration of illiterate women is still 18.3%. If we want to turn this reality into something positive, if we want not a single child left in our country who says I want to go to school but I cannot afford it, we should help other kids than our own get education too, and support ASML scholarship projects.

11.Anything you want to add?
Thanks to ASML's "You Light a Candle Too" campaign for the university students scholarship project, several university students are able to study with monthly stipends, and finally having a profession. Just like every year, students from all around the country have applied to our branches for this education year, they really need this scholarship. Your support means a lot to our students and our foundation.
